Most bathroom complaints we\'re called in to look at come from the same place — tiles laid straight onto plasterboard with no waterproofing, shower trays that weren\'t sealed to the waste, silicon doing the job a proper membrane should have done. It\'s cheap, fast, and it rots the plasterboard within three winters.
Every bathroom and wet room we install gets a two-coat liquid tanking membrane, reinforced corners and a solid substrate under the tiles. You shouldn\'t need to know what that looks like — but if it\'s not there, you\'ll find out eventually.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Cheshire?
A standard family bathroom refit with mid-range fittings, full re-tile and a new suite typically runs £8,500–£14,000. High-spec installations with large-format porcelain, concealed cisterns, stone basins and underfloor heating sit in the £16,000–£28,000 range.
How long does a bathroom installation take?
Most family bathrooms run 2–3 weeks on site. Wet rooms with full tanking, large-format tiling and rewired circuits typically 3–4 weeks. We'll agree a daily schedule so you know what's happening when.
Do you supply the bathroom or do I buy my own?
Both work. We have supplier discounts with Villeroy & Boch, VitrA, Duravit, Crosswater, Bette and several trade-only UK manufacturers — or we'll fit a suite you've chosen and bought yourself.
Can you reroute the plumbing for a new layout?
Yes — new waste pipes, hot and cold feeds, boosted hot water pumps where needed, and concealed cistern frames. All signed off under a Part P and Water Regs notifiable certificate where applicable.
Do you tank and waterproof the floor?
Every wet area gets a full SBR primer, reinforcement tape at corners and joints, and a two-coat liquid membrane before any tiling goes down. Non-negotiable on wet rooms, best-practice on every bathroom we fit.
What about tiling and decorating?
In-house tilers on every job — large-format porcelain, mosaic, stone and encaustic all regular territory. Plastering and painting completed by the same team before handover.
