Level-access wet rooms, built to drain .
Fully tanked, level-access wet rooms across Cheshire and Greater Manchester. Liquid-membrane waterproofing, linear drains, large-format porcelain and thermostatic showers — delivered by the same in-house team, start to finish.
The substrate is everything.
A wet room is 80% substrate, 20% finish. Get the floor deck, the fall, the drain and the tanking right, and the tiled finish will last three decades. Get any of those wrong and no amount of silicon will keep the water off the joists below.
We don\'t rush this part. Every wet room we fit has the joists checked, the fall laser-set, the tanking inspected before tiling — and the client invited to look at it before we close it up.
A wet room, done properly.
From the first strip-out to the final silicon joint. Every step that keeps a wet room watertight — because the ones that leak skipped one of them.

Wet Room FAQs.
What we're asked most often before quoting a wet room.
How much does a wet room cost in Cheshire?
A standard-size wet room with level-access entry, full tanking, linear drain and mid-range porcelain typically runs £12,000–£18,000. Larger rooms with double drains, high-spec brassware and stone tiling can reach £22,000–£30,000.
Can any bathroom become a wet room?
Most can, but not all. A timber-floor first-floor bathroom needs joists either notched or replaced with steels to build in the fall to the drain. Solid-floor ground-floor rooms are usually straightforward. We check feasibility at the site visit.
Will water escape to other rooms?
Not if it's built properly. A correctly tanked wet room has a two-coat liquid membrane, reinforced corner tape and a fall taken back to the linear drain — which is why we never skip any of those steps.
Do I need to keep a bath in the house?
For resale, yes — most buyers still expect a bath in at least one bathroom. For a single-wet-room property, we often recommend keeping a freestanding bath in the main family bathroom.
Are wet rooms good for accessibility?
Excellent. Level-access entry, no lip to trip over, space for a wheelchair or stool, and grab-rail fixings can be built into the stud walls at first-fix. We regularly fit wet rooms for mobility needs.
How long do they take?
Typically 3–4 weeks on site. Floor preparation, drain cut-in, tanking and fall-building all add time vs. a standard bathroom — and every step needs to cure before the next goes on.
